Whereas blacks, greys and berry shades are inevitably massive sellers as the brand new season arrives, autumn/winter 2009-10 brings lots extra for the intrepid magnificence fan. The Eighties being the defining decade of the second, there was loads of proof of the period's daring magnificence aesthetics on the catwalks, from the extremely sculptured bronzed faces seen at Chloë, Rodarte and Alessandro dell'Acqua to the Tradition Membership-esque kaleidoscope of colors seen on eyes, lips and cheeks at Marc Jacobs, Sonia Rykiel and Gucci. Elsewhere the display screen siren took a bow at Chanel, Moschino Low cost & Stylish and DKNY and icy, snow queen eyes confirmed up at MaxMara, Marchesa and Viktor & Rolf.
